Since 1985 Bob "Goose" Gildea has assembled a prospect team to Florida's Spring Training Camps. Typically, a ten day schedule on both the East and West coast in mid-March. Playing MLB* minor league teams. The Tour offers an opportunity to play some of the best baseball players in the world...and for the aspiring professional player...an incredible experience to find out how you stack up against professional competition. For the eligible player this is an excellent chance to be seen and signed. Interested players should call 302 420 8900. 2012 tour begins March 15. Date yet TBD. A two day workout/ tryout with MLB* and Independent League representatives on staff. Try-outs are for the current professional player working their way back, the recent college graduate and ineligible college player looking for the opportunity to play professionally. Over 25 years with semi-pro and professional baseball, multiple championships and a recent Delaware Coaches Hall of Fame inductee... Robert Gildea has taken players from the college and semi-pro level into the professional baseball arena. Coach Gildea has ties with Independent league baseball and many Major League Baseball teams. Providing professional opportunities for the player 'that may have been missed' or recently released professional player. In addition, his Gildea Spring Training Tour is in it's 25th year. A 10 Day schedule playing MLB's minor league teams.
