Thank you to everyone that contributed this past Year. We raised well over ten thousand dollars and after the golf expense over $6000 will go to the LLS Clinical trail.
1987 David Timko was there in the beginning of the Tallgren Games. His support and continued dedication for the fight against blood born cancers with the Leukemia Society (now the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) LLS is rarely matched. Ironic that David would survive Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) 16 years...& now a recurrence. Last year there were 66,000 new cases of Lymphoma in the US Only 69% can expect to survive 5 years post-diagnosis. At Cornell a LLS-funded academic drug development project has been endorsed by David. 100% of the proceeds for our 23rd Tallgren Charity Games will go to this FDA-approved phase I clinical trail of this new lymphoma therapy.
The golf outing is a great time and opportunity to help a worthy cause. Not a golfer? ...
